Death in Aurora Township investigated as a suicide

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday afternoon it was classifying the discovery of a dead body in Aurora Township as a suicide investigation.

Sheriff’s deputies and Aurora police responded at 6:20 a.m. to the area of Farnsworth Avenue near Waubonsee Creek for a report of a dead body on the side of the road.

Sheriff’s Lt. Pat Gengler said the deceased is an Aurora man who lived nearby.

Farnsworth was closed between Ogden Avenue and Montgomery Road for about three hours Friday while police investigated.
