If each family makes just a modest effort, it could end up having a significant impact overall.Key Issue 2 To raise awareness in the community of the actions of the Village Board that affect them, so they will take a greater interest.Key Issue 3 To manage traffic flow issues on local streets to preserve the rural character of the community that brought residents here in the first place.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?I was an educator and coach for 35 years and understand how to motivate people to achieve their optimal performance.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.N. Barrington has very few businesses and the community should provide appropriate incentives to bring the right kind of business to N. Barrington so local homeowners are not required to carry such a large proportion of the financial needs of the community.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed. My neighbors are concerned that Signal Hill Road is used as a short cut when 59 is backed up and cars often speed excessively in a 25MPH zone. This would help the community look even nicer than it does now. We are trying to clean up Flint Creek and really need property owners on the creek to help, some do already and this is great for the beautification of the creek and improving the quality of an important village waterway.
