If yes, please explain: NoneCandidate's Key Issues Key Issue 1 The financial stability of the Village and its residents is most at the forefront when a decision needs to be made on spending for anything. It is no longer acceptable to rely on on the taxpayers to pay for everything. We all must make sacrafices to move forward.Key Issue 2 Youth programs and a possible teen center in the village to allow our children a safe place to go to have fun. As well as have the ability for couseling, homework assistance, social skills development and guidance.Key Issue 3 The continued outreach to businesses that are looking to expand or build. Hanover Park is not land locked and we encourage the ideas of new businesses to look at what Hanover Park will offer, can offer and is leading the charge with the O'Hare Western Access to expand into Hanover Park.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?I am Strong willed and eager to take on any challenge. I have over 23 years and have a vast knowledge base of financial expierence, and over 15 years in the building trades.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Our local sales tax base in 1 of the lowest in a large circle of other villages that surround us. Our businesses in town know this and see the profits from it.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.The villages #1 priortity has and always will be the safety of its residents. We have ensured this through hiring more officers and fire department personnel as well as in public works.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?We run a tight, and lean budgeted village. We are always looking for ways to save, and cut without putting our citizens at risk.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?As a team, the Board is always discussing ways to vastly improve this Village. We all talk to each other for ideas and ways to make those ideas better. The Board is willing to hear every idea and put it forward to see it will help us.
