Award for Lindenhurst church:

St. Mark Lutheran Church will receive the Community Involvement and Volunteer award from the Lindenhurst Park District on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Lindenhurst Park Board officials will attend the regularly scheduled Church Council meeting to make the presentation at 7:30 p.m. in the church library, 1822 E. Grand Ave., Lindenhurst. The annual award is a recommendation by the Lindenhurst Park District Board and staff to the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). The recipient demonstrates a high degree of community involvement and volunteer activities that benefit the community at large.
