Teen candidate drops off Wheeling ballot
Asher Horcher, the youngest person in the area on the ballot in April’s election, withdrew Tuesday as a candidate for Wheeling Village Board. Horcher, who will be 18 March 4, said she thinks it is more important to the village that her father, Pat Horcher, be elected village president, and her candidacy could hurt his. Her withdrawal leaves five candidates for three positions. They are incumbents Ken Brady and Bill Hein, Mary Krueger, Mary Papantos and Greg Stavros.
