Elgin museum hosts family Science Night

Curious about the natural world around you?

Bring your family to Elgin Public Museum’s “Science Night” on Friday, Feb. 8.

Different stations will be set up around the museum for kids and adults to conduct experiments, experience demonstrations and partake in discussions about this month’s topic: “Natural Disasters.”

Participants will make tornadoes, create volcanic explosions, discover the destructive power of tsunamis and earthquakes and more.

“Science Night” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. It costs $2 per person, free to members.

The Elgin Public Museum is located in Elgin’s Lords Park at 225 Grand Blvd. This is a drop-in program; no registration is required.
