CEO Madeline Lipka named Volunteer of the Year
Community Trust Credit Union, CEO, Madeline Lipka was recently selected by the Village of Grayslake Economic Development Commission as the 2012 recipient of its Volunteer of the Year award.
Madeline has served on the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce board from 1994 to 2011, including President.
Madeline accepted her award in front of her colleagues on Tuesday, January 22nd. “First I would like to thank the Chamber, the Village and the EDC for this award. I am honored to be in the company of past recipients. It has been a delight working with first Shirley and now Karen Christen Smith as the director of the Chamber. My association with the Grayslake chamber of commerce and the business community has afforded me the opportunity to meet and work with many of you and call you friend. The memories I have made over the years will be with me forever as well as your friendship.”
Madeline Lipka has worked for Community Trust Credit Union since 1988. She was promoted to CEO in January, 2007. Prior to her promotion she held the positions of Vice President of Operations, Branch Manager of our Grayslake location and Member Service Officer at the main office in Gurnee. Her involvement with the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce stem.s back from when she opened the Community Trust Credit Union Grayslake store front location off of Route 120 in 1993. While working in Grayslake she joined the Chamber of Commerce and served on the board.
