Lake Villa Township Ribfest:

Lake Villa Township is hosts its fifth annual Winter Ribfest on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Caboose Park, 37908 N. Fairfield Road, Lake Villa. The event, which runs from noon to 4 p.m., features amateur teams vying for the title of best ribs and a rib-eating contest. There will also be fun and games for kids of all ages, including hay rides, games and Touch a Truck. Admission is a nonperishable food item for the Lake Villa Township Food pantry.
