Speakers, music honor the life of Dr. King
The Hoffman Estates Cultural Awareness Commission hosted the 11th annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast Monday morning at village hall, featuring Harper College professor and counselor DuBoi McCarty, who returned as keynote speaker. The Sears Holdings Associate Gospel Choir lit up the room, as well.
Guest Joan Jarzemsky gives a thumbs-up to Professor DuBoi McCarty of Harper College. McCarty remarked that Dr. King would be 84 years old this year.
