Elgin Theatre stages ‘Sex Please, We’re Sixty!’

Elgin Theatre Company has a night of laughs in store for you during its January production of “Sex Please, We’re Sixty!” This is ETC’s second production of the 2012-13 season. This production has an adult theme.

The farce by Michael and Susan Parker continues at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 18-20 and 25-27 at the Kimball Street Theater of the Elgin Academy, Kimball Street and Dundee Avenue in downtown Elgin.

In “Sex Please We’re Sixty,” Mrs. Stancliffe’s successful Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast has guests that return yearly. Her neighbor, Bud “Bud the Stud” Davis believes they come to spend time with him in romantic liaisons. Her other neighbor, Henry Mitchell, is a retired chemist and has developed a pill to increase the libido of menopausal women. The fun begins when Bud attempts to entertain the guests Victoria Ambrose, Hillary Hudson, and Charmaine Beauregard. The mayhem ensues and then all the women find their lives moving in new and surprising directions.
