Buffalo Grove chamber presents awards to members

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce presented its annual Chamber Excellence Awards to the following individuals/businesses at its installation lunch on Jan. 10:

Ÿ Director of the Year, Nels Flatebo, The Leaders’ Forum

Nels Flatebo has been a member of the chamber since 2008 and was elected a chamber director in 2012. He has sponsored several After Hours events. Flatebo volunteers for the golf outing, assists the Marketing Committee with projects, served as leader of the Home-Based Business Group and served as chairman of the BG Networkers Group. Flatebo has facilitated several group and committee meetings as well as the chamber board planning session.

Ÿ Member of the Year, Aaron Rochholz, PNC Bank

Aaron Rochholz is the relationship officer for PNC Bank, which has been a member of the chamber since 1988. During 2012, Rochholz worked tirelessly to secure prizes for the golf outing and was instrumental in its success. During Buffalo Grove Days, he worked several shifts in the beer garden and chaired the Bags Tournament.

Ÿ Business of the Year, American Enterprise Bank

American Enterprise Bank has been a member of the chamber since 1995 and a generous sponsor of the golf outing, the Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards and the Buffalo Grove Days Festival. Several company employees have served on various chamber committees and the chamber board. The bank has hosted several After Hours and co-hosted the Art Festival Preview Party with its parent company, Indeck Energy Services Inc.

Ÿ Ambassador of the Year, Adriane Johnson, Populus XP, LLC

The Ambassador of the Year was presented to Adriane Johnson for her dedication to the Ambassadors program and for encouraging businesses to join the chamber. Johnson is the cheerful smile you see at most Business After Hours and lunch meetings. She has been a member of the chamber since 2010 and an Ambassador during 2012. She is a member of the Marketing Committee and volunteers to assist at events.
