Right to carry key to stopping violence

Does anyone in America realize there is a war going on in Chicago? This year over 500 people have been killed. The mayor blames it on the illegal guns and gangs; I say that is the result not the cause.

I blame it on first the parents, and secondly on our inability to keep our youth busy at constructive activities to occupy their time. Guns and gangs are only the result of a violent culture that we have allowed to develop.

Right now, Illinois is the only state in the nation that does not have a “Right to Carry” law, so the only people on the streets of Chicago with self protection defense are the police and the gangs. The gangs are winning — the people are losing and the police can’t stop it.

You can’t handle it, Chicago, so swallow your pride and ask for help. Bring in the National Guard until you figure out a way to keep the youth occupied with constructive activities and “Right to Carry” is implemented in Illinois.
