Rolling Meadows' RadioMD launches first of its kind audio 'HealthCast'

Chicago-based RadioMD, an Internet all health talk portal, is launching a news product for terrestrial radio: RadioMD News “healthcasts.”

The daily two-minute audio "healthcasts" typically contain three to four breaking health and medical news stories produced by RadioMD's experienced producers and reported by on-air news anchor, Jim Miller.

“These are not health tips or the usual medical minute features. It's a first of its kind completely produced newscast containing only the breaking health stories of the day and we think this is information the public wants,” said broadcasting veteran and RadioMD founder, Tim Disa.

The Healthcasts are a ‘freebie' to stations – no inventory or barter is required There is a pause and outcue given after the first story to allow local affiliates to drop in a spot, as an option – or the healthcasts may air “as is.”

The Monday through Friday audio healthcasts are delivered via XDS satellite each weekday morning at 9am EST and available on an ftp site for download.
