Lake Villa Township Ribfest on Jan. 26

Ribfest teams are sought to participate in Lake Villa Township’s fifth annual winter Ribfest. The competition is set for Saturday, Jan. 26, noon to 4 p.m. at Caboose Park, 37908 N. Fairfield Road, Lake Villa. Teams will vie for the title of best ribs. The event also features a rib-eating contest, as well as fun and games for kids of all ages. Admission is a nonperishable food item for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry. Ribs are provided by Tony’s Butcher Shop, 209 Barron Blvd., Grayslake. The competition entry fee is $50.
