The Snowdrifters Ski Club is in the Fox River valley and serves Chicago's western suburbs. This year, the club is celebrating its 51st year of providing winter fun. The club has about 100 members of all ages including singles, married couples, and families, with skill levels from beginner to advanced and everything in between. The club is big enough to support a good variety of ski trips and off-season activities, but small enough so that everyone can easily connect with others and contribute to the success of the club.

The club sponsors several ski trips each year, including weekend, four-day, and weeklong trips to the Western U.S. and Canada. Every few years, they ski in Europe and follow it with a side trip for sightseeing.

The off-season activities regularly include bike rides, wine tasting, canoeing, golf, Kane County Cougars baseball, and other special events. Club members enjoy dining out together and sponsor several club parties each year. A number of members do not ski, but enjoy these year-round social events as well as traveling with the group. Non-skiing partners often join as well.

The Fox Valley Snowdrifters Ski Club meets October through April at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at Old Towne Pub, upstairs, 201 W. State St. in downtown Geneva. From May through September, the club meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third Monday of the month.
