Two Elgin teenagers were arrested in Chicago after police found them with a loaded gun Saturday night, police said.
Jeremy Jones, 19, of the 300 block of Washington Street, and Dawan Nelson, 19, of the 1500 block of Mark Avenue, were arrested at approximately 9:55 p.m. Saturday, according to a Chicago police news release.
The two were arrested in the 4600 block of West Huron Street after police officers said they saw Nelson parked close to another car and approached. Officers said the teens took something from the back seat and moved it under the passenger seat, but the handle of a 9-mm handgun was still visible from under the seat. Officers said the gun was loaded.
