'Ted,' 'Girls' out on DVD
“Ted”
Seth MacFarlane, creator of “Family Guy,” directed, produced and co-wrote this $218 million box-office hit about John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and his brought-to-life stuffed bear.
Ted is no family-friendly toy. He's grown-up John's best bud — a foul-mouthed, dope-smoking, sex-crazed creature (voiced by MacFarlane) who is messing with John's love life. When John's girlfriend (Mila Kunis) makes him choose between her and the bear, Ted moves out and gets his own life.
The movie is full of bad behavior — and definitely not for kids. But if you enjoy adult humor, “Ted” and its many pop culture references will have you laughing.
“Francis Ford Coppola: 5 Film Collection”
Francis Ford Coppola will always be known for “The Godfather” films, but this collection features some of his other works: “Apocalypse Now,” “Apocalypse Now Redux,” “The Conversation,” “Tetro” and “One From The Heart.”
“Girls: The Complete First Season”
HBO's latest hit series was created by Lena Dunham. She also stars as Hannah, a woman in her twenties who deals with her parents, her job, a boyfriend and her girlfriends — the group referenced in the title. The writing is excellent, and the adult-themed storylines keep fans coming back for more. At times, some of the episodes might remind viewers of “Sex and the City,” another New York-set show about single women. The DVD set has 10 episodes along with some many bonus features.

Buster Keaton was considered one of the greatest comedic actors of his generation, and many of his silent films are ranked among the classics. This 15-disc set has them all. The films, remastered in high-definition, include “College,” “Our Hospitality,” “Sherlock Jr.,” “Three Ages,” “The Navigator,” “Seven Chances,” “The General” and more.
