Palatine Library TAB Members Spread Holiday Cheer

Palatine Library Teen Advisory Board members gathered this week to make holiday bookmarks and cards to give to our homebound patrons. “This was a fun activity for our teen volunteers and it embodies the spirit of the season,” states Megan Buttera, Assistant Manager of Popular Materials Department, “We hope the recipients enjoy these small pieces of artwork as much as the teens enjoyed making them.”

The Teen Advisory Board is a group of junior high and high school students that meets monthly at the library to share ideas about books and programs for teens. They volunteer to assist library staff at library events and write book reviews for the website.

Our Community Outreach Coordinator, Gale Ree, will deliver these creations during the month of December to patrons who utilize this service. The Palatine Library offers materials delivery service to patrons who are unable to come to the Library for a minimum of 30 days due to a temporary or permanent disabling condition. If you are interested, complete a Homebound Delivery Service application form on our website (www.palatinelibrary.org) and submit it to the Homebound Services Coordinator.
