New Year Brings Beginning of “Four Seasons of Giving” Lombard Community Blood Drives

LOMBARD, Illinois—The New Year will bring the scheduling of the “Four Seasons of Giving” annual blood drives to the Village of Lombard. The dates for the four blood drives are January 16, April 10, July 10 and September 11.

The Village of Lombard annually holds four community blood drives in cooperation with Heartland Blood Centers. The first drive of the New Year will be held January 16 at Yorktown Center and Village Hall, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.-

7 p.m., respectively. All blood donors will receive a $10 Target gift card and a coupon for a free Culver's frozen custard.

All blood donors must present a photo I.D. to donate blood. Appointments are highly recommended but not required. Appointments for either location may be made online at www.heartlandbc.org or by calling (630) 620-5712.

“My goal for the new year is 213 pints,” said Carol Bauer, Executive Coordinator for the Village Manager and Coordinator of the community blood drives. “We are grateful for all of the regular donors and encourage anyone who has been thinking about donating blood to seriously consider it as part of a new year's resolution,” Bauer added.
