Kids enjoy festive day just for them

Faith Lutheran Church sponsored Christmas for Kids recently.

Seventy-seven children attended the day’s events where they heard the familiar Christmas Story of how God made sure that people knew of his son Jesus’ birth.

They learned how God wants all people, including them, to know how God sent his son to be their savior.

The children had a delicious lunch from Dave’s Bistro consisting of chicken nuggets, baby carrots, fresh grapes, cheese bites and cookies.

After lunch, the children, ages 3 years old to fourth grade, sang Christmas carols, made craft projects and played Christmas games.

Moms and dads appreciated having the day to get Christmas projects completed.

The day concluded with a closing program. Faith has held Christmas for Kids for nine years now.

The next opportunity for the children will be Easter for Kids from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 9.
