Suit up: Rotary Santa Run still has openings

Want to join the Rotary Santa 5K Run on Saturday, Dec. 1, but you haven’t registered yet? You’re in luck — while online registration is closed, you can still sign up from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday at Athletico, Sigwalt Street at Arlington Heights Road. On Saturday, register from 7:30-9 a.m. in the lobby of Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 Campbell St., as long as the Santa suits hold out. Race is on rain or shine; there is free parking in municipal garage. The Rotary Santa 5K steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Campbell and Dunton. For kids 10 and under, the Reindeer Run starts at 9 a.m. at the same location.
