Three hurt in I-90 crash near Rosemont

Three passengers were taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries Sunday morning after a head-on collision on I-90 near Rosemont.

Illinois State Police Sgt. Craig Thompson said that at 5:17 a.m., two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the tollway.

Police said one of the drivers was headed in the wrong direction.

As a result of the crash, three lanes of traffic were temporarily closed.

Thompson said the driver going the wrong way was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol but was not able to release the name at this time.
