Hanover Park to hold tree lighting ceremony Nov. 30

The village of Hanover Park will host its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the municipal complex, 2121 W. Lake St. Local nonprofit organizations and other groups will have decorated trees on display, and special guest Santa Claus will arrive in a fire truck. Entertainment will include Candy Land themed activities and performances by the Elsie Johnson Carolers and the Allegro Dance Troop. Dave Herzog will perform a marionette show sponsored by the Schaumburg Township District Library. The Hanover Park Lions Club will provide refreshments and the Hanover Highlands Elementary School Husky Club Ambassadors will help run the event.
