Brace for Democrats’ pension reform plan

The Illinois Democrats and labor unions voted to give control of the state to the Democrats. With the Democrats super majority, the GOP can stay home, which will save millions of dollars. The super majority gives House Speaker Michael Madigan an unstoppable means of passing pension reform. Under Madigan’s agenda, teachers pensions will be transferred from the state to the local school districts. With teachers contracts already increasing property taxes, Madigan’s pension reform will explode property taxes.
