Palatine’s Countryside to discuss financial planning for people with disabilities
A workshop about financial planning for people with disabilities will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Countryside Association, 21154 W. Shirley Road, Palatine. The program, which is free and open to the public, will cover the protection of assets to care for family members with disabilities, the importance of identifying the need for future care, planning for and securing benefits at age 18 and preparing wills and living trusts under tax laws expiring at the end of 2012. The workshop also will cover the impact of various changes to the tax code. The featured speaker will be Bill Deitch, founder of The Estate Planning Law Group.
