Arlington Heights Historical Museum announces Holiday Tea programs
Tea programs at the Banta House are a community holiday tradition. Tea is served in the 100 year old Banta House on the museum grounds and features tea, sweets, and finger sandwiches.
Doll lovers of all ages will enjoy this unique tea. A special display and doll talk will be featured in addition to a tour of the Martha Mills Doll Collection and the Lorraine Korenthal dollhouses. Dolls are welcome to come to tea, too! Doll tea is available from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, for ages 6 through adult.
Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Tea is for the younger set, ages 4-7 accompanied by an adult. Put on your sparkles and glitter, and don’t forget your accessories. Enjoy reading of the book by the same name and entertainment. The Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Tea is from 1:30-2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Holiday Teas are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9. Harpist Kendall Braun will provide a melodious background setting for tea in the Banta House living room. Two seatings are available: 12:30-2 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m.
Children must be registered and accompanied by a registered adult. Fee is $20 per person. Please register by Friday, Nov. 30. To register, go to ahmuseum.org, click on the “programs” tab and follow the link for the tea of your choice. You may also register in person at any park district registration office.
