Large electronics recycling ending in Hoffman Estates
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County’s large electronics recycling drop-off program is ending for the season. Residents have one more chance, from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 12, to drop off old computers, computer accessories, printers, scanners, fax machines, MP3 players, TVs, DVD players, VHS players and video game consoles for free at Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Visit www.swancc.org for a full list of acceptable items.
After Nov. 12, large electronics recycling will be available from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays at the Glenview Transfer Station, 1151 N. River Road, in Des Plaines. Small electronics, such as cellphones, laptops and cameras, can always be recycled in the village hall lobby.
