Palatine church to host Winter Farmers Market

Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist, 1025 Smith Road, Palatine, will host a Winter Farmers Market from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. Farmers from Illinois and Wisconsin will offer fresh produce, beef, pork, poultry, eggs, salsas, sauces, preserves, honey, bread, cheese and more. In addition, local craftspeople will sell personal care items, wool and artwork.

The Winter Farmers Market is part of the Green Sanctuary Program at Countryside, a program that calls us to think about our footprint on the earth and to support those who work toward creating a sustainable life for all. Proceeds from the market will be used to fund environmental projects in the church.

Countryside Unitarian Universalist Church is a liberal, creed-less religious institution, founded on Judeo-Christian principles that encourages each to seek his or her own spiritual path. Sunday services begin at 9 and 11 a.m. The facility is handicap accessible and is located at 1025 N. Smith Road in Palatine, between Northwest Highway and Dundee.
