Route 43 lane closure

Route 43 (Waukegan Road) will be restricted to one lane in each direction north of Deerfield Road in Deerfield for utility work for three weekdays beginning Thursday, Nov. 1. Weather permitting, the lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday about 1,000 feet north of Deerfield Road for installation of a new water main connection at the Deerfield Public Library to serve the reconstructed library campus. Although the roadway will not be fully closed at any time during these closures, drivers can expect long delays and should avoid the area if possible. Visit www.travelmidwest.com for updates.
