Lombard Fire digs up time capsule before centennial celebration

Members of the Lombard Fire Department took turns at unearthing a time capsule that was buried outside the front of Lombard Fire Station 1 in 1987, 25 years ago.

The time capsule was dug up today to take advantage of the good weather. It will be opened in January 2013 with the kick-off of the Centennial.
