Barrington Hills police seeking re-accreditation

A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) will arrive in Barrington Hills Nov. 4 to examine all aspects of the village police department’s polices and procedures, management operations and support services as the department seeks renewal of its accreditation.

As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 in the MacArthur Room at village hall. Those unable to attend the session may provide comments by telephone between 1 and 3 p.m. that day by calling (847) 915-1065.

Anyone wishing to submit comments by mail can send them to CALEA at 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA, 20155.
