Reception set for Batavia’s collaborative artist/writer projects

Submitted by Art in Your Eye Festival

Batavia’s Art In Your Eye festival invites the public to a reception for the exhibit and silent auction of works from the artist/writer collaborative project titled “Drawn with Words.”

The artwork from this project will be displayed in the upstairs gallery at Water Street Studios through Oct. 27, with a public reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, The project was collaboration between Fox Valley artists and writers.

Writers, including members of Water Street Studio’s writers group Waterline, were asked to submit 3-line stories to a website. Artists selected a story to use as inspiration and created a piece of art that included the story within the work.

The art will be available for purchase through a silent auction, with final bids taken at the reception. Proceeds from the auction will go to support the Art In Your Eye Art festival.
