Police search for Barrington school burglary suspect

Barrington police are asking for help identifying a subject seen on video at the scene of a burglary at St. Anne’s Catholic School.

The burglary occurred about 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at the school, which is located at 319 Franklin St., near the corner of Ela Street and Franklin Street. The school’s video security system captured footage of a white male suspect between the age of 40 to 50 with a long ponytail.

Cash and some gift cards were taken during the burglary and considerable damage was done to the school offices. Anyone with information on the identity of the subject should contact Barrington police detectives at (847) 304-3304 or call the department’s dispatch center at (847) 304-3300. Police are asking anyone with additional information to not contact the school.
