Cook recorder of deeds: Yarbrough

Democrat Karen Yarbrough of Maywood and Republican Sherri Griffith of Chicago are running to replace the retiring Eugene Moore as Cook County recorder of deeds, the office that keeps track of property deeds, mortgages, liens and other records. Although both women are well-qualified and offer good suggestions for improving online access, we endorse Yarbrough. Her 12 years as an effective state representative and ideas for protecting property owners from fraudulent document filings give her the edge.
