Lombard Police Department To Participate in “Tip-A-Cop” For Special Olympics

Lombard Officers will assume everyday restaurant tasks and responsibilities, including greeting and seating guests and waiting on tables. The goal of the “Tip-a-Cop” program is to collect as many donations as possible for Special Olympics through tips.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics is the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle, raising more than $2.9 million in Illinois during 2011.

Torch Run T-shirts, hats and pins will also be available for sale along with raffle tickets for a chance to win a Harley Davidson Street Glide FLHX.

Anyone with questions may contact Lieutenant Cyndy Abenante at
