Illinois Brass Band to perform movie favorites

Join The Illinois Brass Band at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Cutting Hall, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine, for an evening of music from the movies.

Relive great movie moments while enjoying some of the most popular movie soundtracks and themes from the ’30s through today.

Enjoy selections from “West Side Story,” “The Music Man,” “My Fair Lady,” “Batman,” and “The Wizard of Oz.”

Works by contemporary composer John Williams will include the “Fanfare and Flying Theme” from “ET” and the theme music from “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.”

Music from “The Incredibles” and “Cruella De Vil” from “101 Dalmatians” will be featured for the younger family members.

The Illinois Brass band is a six-time national champion of the North American Brass Band Association. The band is in its 21st year.

Tickets are available in advance through the Cutting Hall box office at (847) 202-5222 or on the day of the performance. Tickets cost $12 for adults; $6 for students and children ages 18 and younger. A $1 box office surcharge applies to all ticket orders.
