Heart of Buffalo Grove finalists named

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsor Buffalo Grove Bank & Trust are pleased to announce the finalists for the Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards. These awards honor individuals and businesses for their dedication and service to the Buffalo Grove community.

The Finalists for these awards are:

Ÿ Above and Beyond: Jerod Loeb, Larry Reiner and Steve Rusin

Ÿ Business Philanthropy: Drew Olbur, Weiner Take All; Stu Cohen, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria; and Pete Panayiotou, Continental Restaurant

Ÿ Community Volunteer: Mike Brown, Jan Obrand and Sam Shulman

Ÿ Senior Volunteer: Kenneth Falk, Eugene Kukla, and Senior Advisory Council Board-Buffalo Grove Park District

Ÿ Teach and Inspire: Valerie Gangware, Susan Snell and Stan Zoller

Ÿ Together We Can: Buffalo Grove Days Committee, BG Singers and St. Mary Men’s Club

Ÿ Youth Volunteer: Cub Scout Pack 36 and Avi Samuels

Please help the Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce honor these finalists by attending the Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards Gala on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Arboretum Club, 401 W. Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove. There will be a performance by OMNI Youth Theatre and a brief presentation by Jay Krames of OMNI Youth Services on the importance of community volunteerism. Check-in and social time begins a 6:30 p.m., with dinner and awards program at 7 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and includes dinner champagne toast and cash bar.
