Barrington talk to focus on great skin after 40

Dr. Amy Derick is the featured guest speaker at the Barrington Area Council on Aging’s fifth annual awareness luncheon, “Celebrating the F Words: Fabulous Skin After Forty.” Dr. Derick is the founder and medical director of Derick Dermatology in Barrington and Crystal Lake.

The event will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Highway, Barrington. Whitehall of Deerfield will sponsor the event.

Cost is $40 per person; a cash bar will also be available.

Dr. Derick is a board-certified dermatologist and has lectured at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Chicago Dermatological Society. She is also instructor of clinical dermatology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
