Rotary Pizza Fest Tuesday in Buffalo Grove

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is holding a Pizza Fest from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Buffalo Grove High School. Admission is $2. Each slice of pizza is $2 and any drink or dessert item is $1.

There will be many varieties of America’s favorite food thanks to participating local pizza establishments including Gulo’s, Jet’s, Lou Malnati’s, Nino’s, Prairie House and Wa-Pa-Ghetti’s.

Rotary will be collecting nonperishable food items at the event to stock the Wheeling Food Pantry, which was established last year in coordination with the Wheeling Rotary Club.

Buffalo Grove Rotary supports many local charities and community initiatives including hunger relief, safety programs, Special Olympics, park improvements, school programs and student exchanges. Its members have traveled to global service projects that include providing fresh water in Africa, immunization efforts to eradicate polio in India and development projects for schools in the Guatemalan jungle.
