Elk Grove church gets ready for annual PumpkinFest
Prince of Peace Church, 1400 Arlington Heights Road, in Elk Grove Village, is holding a PumpkinFest from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. PumpkinFest is the “kickoff” to the church’s Pumpkin Patch that runs through October at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Devon Avenue.
PumpkinFest offers aisle after aisle of outdoor crafter and vendor booths for great fall shopping. The fest is also a great family experience, with children’s games, a moonwalk, petting zoo, live musical entertainment, door prizes and the Pumpkin Patch. Food can be purchased at the PumpkinFest Cafe, and unlimited children’s games will keep the kids happy for hours. Admission is free.
The Pumpkin Patch will receive a truckload of fresh pumpkins and gourds on Friday, Oct. 5. The Pumpkin Patch is an annual ministry at Prince of Peace Church. The pumpkins will remain on sale through Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Hours are 3-7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Proceeds from sales at the church will benefit local ministries and ministries throughout the world.
