Buy fair trade items at Fair & Square Market

A Fair & Square Marketplace will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at First Presbyterian Church, 240 Standish St. in Elgin.

The Fair Trade Marketplace will feature SERRV and Equal Exchange products along with other fair trade products from two local retailers — Just Goods in Rockford and Peaceful Parlour in Geneva. Also, purchase raffle tickets for fair trade goody bags.

Coffee, juice and fair trade baked goods will be served during the event. Proceeds from SERRV, Equal Exchange and the raffles will be used for the Nicaraguan Scholarship Fund to help support students to attend high school or college.
