Palatine man charged in assault of ‘incapacitated’ woman
A 29-year-old Palatine man faces charges after authorities say he sexually assaulted a woman after she became “incapacitated” during a gathering last month.
A Cook County judge set bail at $50,000 Thursday for Daniel Felix-Sanchez, of the 1200 block of Long Valley Road.
The woman was asleep in the early morning of Aug. 19, when, prosecutors allege, she awoke to discover Felix-Sanchez assaulting her.
The woman recognized the man’s voice and alerted authorities, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Walsh.
If convicted, Felix-Sanchez could face four to 15 years in prison. He next appears in court on Oct. 30.
