Announcement of Election for Park Commissioner of the Wheeling Park District

Wheeling Park District will be accepting Petitions of Nomination from December 17 through December 24, 2012, for four (4) four-year terms to serve as Park Commissioner of the Wheeling Park District. Any individual who is a registered voter and is a resident of the Wheeling Park District is eligible to hold the office of Commissioner of the Wheeling Park District.

The office of Commissioner is an elected position with no financial remuneration. Commissioners will be selected by vote of the community in the Consolidated Election to be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. The Board of Park Commissioners meets formally at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month for regular Board meeting and for special meetings when necessary. A minimum time requirement of ten (10) hours per month is reasonable to expect in a typical month, but may vary as needed.

Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois, during regular business hours to obtain election materials.
