Celebrate Renz Center’s 51 years at culinary fundraiser

In celebrating 51 years of community service, Renz Addiction Counseling Center is hosting a special fifth annual “Epicurean Delight” fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Elgin Community College’s Culinary Arts & Hospitality Department’s Spartan Terrace Restaurant.
Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner with savory fall flavors as they watch Chef Tom Johnston and top ECC culinary art students cook alongside such local business celebrities as St. Charles Mayor Donald DeWitte; St. Charles Bank and Trust Executive Debbie Fee; and, Siegle’s Cabinet Center owner Mark Seigle.
Event sponsor All Chocolate Kitchen owner and Chef Alain Roby will also demonstrate his world-renowned sugar artistry in a special presentation.
Tickets to the “Epicurean Delight” are $80 per person, and all proceeds benefit Renz Addiction Counseling Center programs. Community residents also can purchase raffle tickets for an Apple iPad3 prior to the event: $10 for one; $45 for five; $80 for 10; and 13 for $100.

Raffles and tickets can also be charged through credit card by calling (847) 742-3545, ext. 236. You do not have to attend to win.
Since 1961, Renz Addiction Counseling Center has provided a variety of prevention, early intervention and treatment programs for alcohol, drug and gambling addictions and related disorders. Renz Center serves residents of central/northern Kane and western Cook counties, with offices in St. Charles, Streamwood and Elgin.
Renz Addiction Counseling Center is a nonprofit organization funded in part by the Federal Government, Central Kane County United Way, The Illinois Department of Human Services, Hanover Township, Geneva, and St. Charles 708 mental health boards and other local community organizations.
