Batavia library hosts ‘Sundays on Stage’

The Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave., has announced its “Sundays on Stage” fall lineup.
“Bob Duda Sings Sinatra” kicks off the series at 2 p.m. Sept. 30. Duda, accompanied by the Melodaires Duo on guitar and keyboard, will perform a number of Sinatra hits and other songs made famous by members of the legendary Rat Pack. The program will be held in the library meeting room.
“Adventures in Broadcasting” will be presented at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at the library. Gene Doretti, former WGN-TV and radio personality for more than 30 years, will share broadcasting anecdotes about Bozo’s Circus, Wally Phillips, John Drury, Tom Skilling and others. Doretti’s career as a journalist included countless interviews of celebrities and politicians including John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon.
Then at 2 p.m. Nov. 25, “Blue Suede Shoes” featuring Heather Braoudakis will be presented at the library. Braoudakis will step into the shoes of the king of rock ‘n’ roll as she performs energetic and cherished Elvis Presley hits.
