Labels amount to hate mongering

L. Dean Hufsey has every right to his opinion about President Obama’s policies, and he can gush about the film “Obama 2016” to his heart’s content, but when he labels all those who voted for Obama as a collection of “the liberal leftist socialists, welfare recipients, illegal immigrants” and others who merely wanted to vote for the first black president, he betrays the kind of demonizing and division that is truly tearing apart the fabric of American society (Fence Post, Sept. 4).

Such hate-mongering and fear-mongering accomplishes precisely what Mr. Hufsey claims to decry — namely, “sensationalism” without recourse to facts. Also, it would appear that Mr. Hufsey has never read Jesus’ words: “Love your enemies.”

By the way, a little film WAS “required viewing” in schools some years ago. The schools were in Nazi Germany and the film was called “The Eternal Jew.”
