Accused drunken driver charged in fatal Wisconsin crash
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man is accused of driving drunk and causing a fatal crash near Sun Prairie.
Forty-two-year-old Lawren Prisk is charged with homicide by drunken driving. Prosecutors say Prisk was driving on county Highway N last month when he hit a Volkswagen Beetle from behind. A passenger in the Beetle, 20-year-old Conor Dunleavy, died at University Hospital later that day.
The State Journal says the driver of the Beetle, Jamie Lauter, suffered a skull fracture, seven fractured vertebrae and a broken shoulder blade.
Prisk is free on $10,000 bail after a court appearance in Dane County Monday.
