Would you support the creation of more detailed economic interest statements?I would support the creation of a more detailed economic interest statement. As public servants, we need to be transparent in our actions.Would you support the buildout of the shell space in the Kane County jail if it could be shown that the space could/would be used to increase profits from housing federal inmates? Why wouldn't we review this if it would lower our taxes and help balance our budget?Do you believe the county court system needs a computer system upgrade that might cost as much as $12.6 million? If so, do you support using RTA sales tax money to fund it, or do you have a different plan? If not, what is your alternative plan?I believe the county court needs the upgraded system to help with communication between departments. We should use the RTA sales tax money to fund these upgrades. We can use the knowledgeable IT staff already in place to decide what upgrades need to be done. If they are able to do these upgrades themselves, then we should use our resources to complete this. If they are unable or too busy, then they should determine the project for a contractor to complete.Do you support the call by the state's attorney and public defender for raises for their staffs? The money needs to come from prison revenues. What aspects of the Fabyan/Settlers Hill campus redevelopment vision created by the task force do you support? What should happen to the old county jail property?I support the walking trails and the observation tower. I believe the property should be sold to help defray the bond issue on the new jail and save the taxpayers money.
