In addition, I want to serve and represent all residents of Du Page County. I want to also show women and African-Americans that holding an elected offcial position is attainable. Working together to provide the best quality of life across party lines is my goal.If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of any important initiatives you've led. There is more than unites us than divides us.If incumbent, are you satisied your attendance at county board/committee meetings has been adequate? Describe the rough percentage of meetings you've attended. If non-incumbent, are you aware of the incumbent's attandance record and is it adequate? As a citizen that attends the board meetings on a regular basis, I have observed the board in action. If a member is not present, I think it is not our position to assume that the member is not engaged in board activities. One may not be physically present but that does not mean that they are not plugged-in. However, if the member has a chronic attendance issue, then that issue has to be reviewed for disciplinary actions. What is your stance on county board members' pay? Too high, too low, just right? Would you propose any changes? Do you think county board members should receive pensions? If not, would be willing to pledge not to take one?In my opinion, the salary of a county board member is sufficient. After tax and medical deductions, the salary compliments the quality of work required to participate effectively as a county board member.
