Palatine police hold prescription drug disposal event Sept. 29

The Palatine Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host a prescription drug disposal event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at police headquarters, 595 N. Hicks Road.

In an effort to prevent pill abuse and theft, the public is invited to bring in expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous.
